Police Log: Bank Robberies And Break-Ins

Residents reminded to stay alert and lock their doors at night or when out.

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service the week of December 13-20, 2010:

On Monday, December 13 between 12:11 and 3:22 a.m., police responded to three alarm activations.
At 8:01 a.m., police assisted with a smoke alarm activation at the Summer Street School.
At 12:35 p.m., police assisted an elderly woman after a slip and fall incident.
At 12:40 p.m., a Meservey Lane resident reported a missing purse and that two men had been in the house recently. At 2:09 p.m., a Newbury Street resident reported finding the purse from Meservey Lane.
At 1:41 p.m., an attempted breaking and entering was reported on Grey Lane.
At 2:38 p.m., a Lynnfield couple told police that they will be married on New Year's Eve and are expecting to have music and many cars on their premises for much of the night.
At 3:20 p.m., a suspicious auto was reported on Alexandra Road.
At 3:53 p.m., police received a report of two women lost in the woods behind the Fat Cactus. Lynn police located the two.
At 4:51 p.m., police responded to a neighbor dispute on North Broadway.
At 7:04 p.m., an individual filed a walk-in report about a letter they had received.
At 9:32 p.m., an individual reported a suspicious auto on Midland Road. The caller stated that they heard something breaking before the car took off.

On Tuesday, December 14 at 8 a.m., a suspicious auto was reported on Chatham Way.
At 11:07 a.m., police investigated a burglar alarm activation on Main Street.
At 3:18 p.m., a Tophet Road resident reported that a pickup truck had been parked overnight in front of their house.
At 5:28 p.m. police received a walk-in report involving a motor vehicle accident.
At 5:30 p.m. a William Road resident reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of her house. Police determined that the car belonged to a neighbor's friend.

On Wednesday, December 15 at 6:56 a.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident at Goodwin's Cirlce.
At 10 a.m., a suspicious vehicle was reported on Saunders Road.
At 10:09 a.m., a large truck tire was reported in the road at Route 1 and Salem Street.
At 11:30 a.m., police assisted with a vehicle lockout on Salem Street.
At 12:05 p.m., police responded to a robbery at The Savings Bank on Summer Street.
At 1:50 p.m., police responded to an alarm activation on Crescent Avenue. Alarm was found to be set off by workers.
At 5:20 p.m., a motor vehicle accident occurred on Condon Circle.

On Thursday, December 16 at 8:25 a.m., a minor motor vehicle accident was reported on Goodwin's Rotary.
At 8:51 a.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on Main Street.
At 10:38 a.m. and 12:59 p.m., an alarm activation occurred on Essex Street.
At 1:49 p.m., police responded to an alarm activation on Prospect Avenue.
At 2:24 p.m., an individual filed a found property report.
At 6:59 p.m., police checked on a 911 hang-up call.

On Friday, December 17 at 12:42 a.m., police responded to an alarm activation at the Fat Cactus and found that about $1,000 in computer equipment had been stolen.
At 11:30 a.m., police performed a walk-through of the Eastern Bank.
At 11:45 a.m., police performed a walk-through of The Savings Bank.
Between 9:55 a.m. and 11:40 a.m., police spoke with all bank managers in the town about the robbery earlier in the week.
At 12:16 p.m., police responded to an alarm activation on Daventry Court. Investigation found that the alarm was triggered by a dog running around the house.
Between 12:34 and 1:52 p.m., police performed additional walk-throughs in the town's banks and checked in with their managers.
At 3:02 p.m., police received a report of a Bobcat vehicle impeding traffic on Lowell Street.
At 4:19 p.m., a suspicious auto report came from Liberty Lane.
At 5 p.m., police assisted another agency investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the North Shore Mall.
At 7:20 p.m., police issued a summons to Anna Maria Truglia of Saugus for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.
At 7:27 p.m., a Wymon Way resident reported a fist fight between neighbors.
At 8 p.m., police dispersed a group of young people from the Center Market area.
At 9:48 p.m., police dispersed another gathering of young people from the Center Market area.
At 10:20 p.m., police received a report from parents whose sons were involved in a dispute. One man was accused of throwing a bottle at the other from his vehicle. In turn, this other man was accused of repeatedly calling his nemesis to say he owed him a cell phone.
At 10:55 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on Moulton Drive.
At 11:07 p.m., a suspicious auto was reported on Howard Avenue. The car was found to be legally parked.
At 11:30 p.m., Christopher Peluso of Wakefield was arrested on an out of town warrant.

On Saturday December 18 at 8:28 a.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on 128 Northbound.
At 8:36 a.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on 128 Southbound.
Starting at 9 a.m., police made periodic checks on town banks during the day.
At 10:17 a.m., police assisted with a disabled auto on Lowell Street.
At 10:29 a.m., a Tedford Lane resident reported that there was a coyote in the neighborhood.
At 11:37 a.m., a Locksley Road resident reported a vandalism incident.
At 11:49 a.m., a Summer Street resident reported that children were skating on the pond. Police gave them a verbal warning.
At 1:37 p.m., a suspicious person was reported at Lynnfield Woods Auto Park.
At 2:43 p.m., Josue Chilie-Ramirez of Lynn was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
At 4:36 p.m., police arrested Walter Arnold of Mattapan on an out of town warrant.
At 10:33 p.m. a Lowell Street resident reported that young people were shooting at their house with a BB gun.
At 11:17 p.m., police received a complaint from a neighbor about a loud party on Fernway.

On Sunday, December 19 at 12:15 a.m., a Fernway resident reported debris in the street from their neighbor's party. Police cleared out the scene at 12:29 a.m.
At 12:20 a.m., a suspicious auto was reported on Forest Hill Ave.
At 1:06 a.m., Gabriella Fortucci of Lynnfield was arrested on an out of town warrant.
At 1:15 p.m., a Chatham Way resident reported that their mailbox had been damaged overnight.
At 2:50 p.m., an alarm activation occurred on Melch Road.
At 4 p.m., a caller reported that an individual was driving with a child in the parking lot of the Christmas Tree Shop and appeared to be intoxicated.
At 8:35 p.m., a Lowell Street resident reported threatening calls from an intoxicated former coworker. Police determined the calls were not threatening.
At 8:45 p.m., a caller reported a vehicle operating erratically on Chestnut Street.
At 8:53 p.m., an individual reported that his ex-wife had been calling him all night.
