Parking Lot Fight and Break-In Among Weekend Calls

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Thursday, January 16 and Sunday, January 20, 2014.

On Thursday, January 16 at 1:43 p.m. a homeowner came home to an open front door on Mirabeau Lane. Police checked the place and found all in order.
At 2:41 p.m. an accident was reported near Walnut Street and Route 128.

On Friday, January 17 at 12:21 p.m.  a suspicious truck was reported on Midland Road. It checked out OK.
At 7:43 p.m. police dispersed a large group of youths from behind the Center Court shops.
At 9:19 p.m.  a caller reported an apparently drunk driver near Condon Circle. An area search came up negative.

On Saturday, January 18 at 12:52 a.m., police responded to Bali Hai for a report of a fight in the parking lot. The parties were gone on arrival.
At 12:15 p.m. a Charing Cross resident reported a suspicious man driving a dark colored Honda came to the door and left.
At 3:22 p.m. a truck reportedly hit a parked vehicle near Archer Lane and Robin Road.
At 4:25 p.m. police took a report involving threats.
At 5:22 p.m. a caller said four suspicious males were walking down the street on Edward Ave. Upon arrival, police spoke with another resident who said they were teenagers and did not seem suspicious.
At 5:45 p.m. a  caller reported that an elderly male on Dearborn Road had plowed some snow into his vehicle and broke a mirror.
At 5:48 p.m.  car was reported struck by a plow on Birchwood Road.
At 6:40 p.m. police took a report involving a missing wedding ring.
At 10:39 p.m. a suspicious auto was reported on North Hill Ave. It was gone on arrival.
At 11:06 p.m. an officer assisted a motorist who ran out of gas by driving them to the Sunoco station.

On Sunday, January 19 at 12:42 p.m. police issued a summons to a 30 year old Revere man, charging him with violating an abuse prevention order.
At 5:29 p.m. police and fire personnel were informed of an odor in a building on Lantern Lane.
At 8:11 p.m. a woman called and said she was threatened with a knife. Further investigation found that there was no knife, just a verbal argument.

On Monday, January 20 at 12:06 a.m., a break-in was reported on Salem Street.
At 12:13 a.m. a Lara Lane resident reported an apparent smashing sound and was concerned a break-in was happening. Police found no sign of a break-in.
At 6:19 a.m. emergency personnel transported a 90 year old man to a local hospital after he slipped in some snow.
At 8:42 a.m. a restraining order violation was reported. Police issued a summons to a 30 year old Revere man charging him with violation of a 209A abuse prevention order.
At 11:44 a.m. police took a larceny report from the Lynnfield Exxon.
At 12:42 p.m. Andover Police informed Lynnfield that a caller had claimed a woman’s son was kidnapped. The son turned out to be fine and at a house in town. There was no crime committed.
At 3:25 p.m. a caller reported a man taking pictures of houses on Lowell Street.
At 7:39 p.m. a dog with a broken leash turned up on Summer Street. Animal Control picked it up.
