Owl Stands On Main Street

The following is an excerpt from the Lynnfield Police log:

Friday, Aug. 26

  • At 12:19 p.m. a truck hit a light pole on Knoll Road. Reading Light was notified of the accident.
  • At 8:54 p.m. police and fire responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Rt. 128 near Walnut Road. No injuries were reported.
  • Kids in the street were reported at 9 p.m. on Carter Road.
  • Michael E. Angeloni, 19, 1 Millbrook Lane, Wakefield, was arrested at 9:45 p.m. and charged with misuse or falsely using an ID. 

Saturday, Aug. 27

  • A resident called police after spotting an owl standing in the middle of Main Street at 6:29 a.m. Animal Control was notified.
  • An accident was reported on Salem Street at 12:49 p.m. No injuries were reported.
  • Police investigated threats made on Bryant Street at 3 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 28

  • Police, Fire and the Department of Public Worksthroughout town throughout the day during Tropical Storm Irene. 
  • At 3:39 p.m. a suspicious motor vehicle was reported on Crescent Avenue. The person told police they had seen the same vehicle weeks ago.

Monday, Aug. 29

  • Police and fire responded to a car accident at the intersection of Salem and Walnut at 5:28 a.m. No injuries were reported.
  • At 6:40 a.m. a motor vehicle accident was reported on Rt. 128 South by Walnut Street. No injuries were reported.
  • At 6:40 a.m. debris was cleared from Melody Lane.
