Five Reported Injured In 128 Accident

Five people were reportedly injured in an accident on Route 128 Wednesday evening near the Walnut Street exit.

Soon after the accident, various reports on social media indicated that six people were injured, with at least three ambulances on scene and with other emergency personnel from the area responding. 

However, Massachusetts State Police spokesman David Procopio told Lynnfield Patch in an email that there were a total of five motorists in the two cars involved in the accident. Procopio also indicated that the five were taken to area hospitals for evaluation but that at that point, the injuries were believed to be minor. An update will be provided when more information is available.
