UPDATE: Peabody Man Arrested After Failing To Stop For Lynnfield Police

State Police arrest man with outstanding warrant in Peabody, minutes after he allegedly failed to stop for a Lynnfield officer.

An individual was taken into custody by Massachusetts State Police early Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly tried to drive away from a routine traffic stop in Lynnfield on Route 1.

Police and at least one K9 unit tracked the suspect and caught him on Pearl Street in Peabody.

A check with the Lynnfield Police Department indicated that the suspect had an outstanding arrest warrant.

Later Tuesday, the State Police reported that they had apprehended 22-year-old Michael Torrence of Pearl Street in Peabody. Troopers Barriere and Sullivan reportedly located the suspect in a shed behind 12 Pearl Street. The suspect's '98 Audi was located on a dirt road at the end of the street.
