Man Allegedly Beating Another With Cane in Parking Lot

responded to the following calls for service on Wednesday, August 24 and Thursday, August 25.

On Wednesday, August 24 at 3:45 a.m., a suspicious motor vehicle was reported at the . It turned out to be a woman talking on her cell phone.
At 4:01 a.m., a Locksley Road resident called to report a "very skinny, strange man" walking up the road from Moulton Drive. He had just been spotted dancing on a neighbor's lawn. Police determined that he checked out OK.
At 6:03 a.m., a fire alarm went off on Summer Street.
At 926 a.m., a Main Street resident reported a dog in traffic near Partridge Lane. Animal Control was notified.
At 2:50 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Gugliano Terrace.
At 3:17 p.m., a North Broadway resident reported her car had been egged.
At 4:15 p.m., a Chestnut Street resident called about a civil dispute involving a new neighbor who was putting up a fence. Police advised him to contact the planning board.
At 5:04 p.m., a caller reported that tires were in the roadway on Forest Hill Ave.
At 7:17 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Wildewood Drive. The building was secure.
At 7:30 p.m., an Edward Ave. resident called to report a stolen license plate.
At 9:57 p.m., a Stillman Road resident reported that various items had been stolen during a move.
At 11:16 p.m., a Brook Drive resident reported what appeared to be an intoxicated male walking down the street. It turned out to be an elderly man out for a stroll.

On Thursday, August 25 at 4:50 a.m. a dead deer was reported to be on Chestnut Street.
At 9 a.m., a burglar alarm went off on Stafford Road.
At 10:38 a.m., a caller reported that a man was beating somebody with a cane in the Christmas Tree Shop parking lot. The caller and the other subjects were all gone when police arrived.
At 11:38 a.m. police were informed that a Summer Street resident had cut down four trees owned by the town, with a value of approximately $20,000. Three of the trees were about 12 inches in diameter and one was much larger. The woman maintained that the trees were infested with ants and that she was concerned about the coming hurricane.
At 1:38 p.m., police assisted Wakefield with a diabetic emergency on Route 128 North.
At 1:49 p.m., police responded with fire personnel to Willis Lane, when a woman reported smoke coming from her gas stove.
At 2:03 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Jensen Street. An open door was found but the house was otherwise secure.
At 4:03 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Chatham Way.
At 11:01 p.m., a Priscilla Road resident called to report a girl with a piece of metal in her hand appeared to be trying to gain access to a nearby house.
