Motorist Claims Weapon Brandished On Route 1

Report of gun-wielding Route 1 motorist brings police back to the Fat Cactus on Sunday. Nothing found, no charges filed.

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service the week of May 9-15, 2011.

On Monday, May 9 at 7:51 a.m., there was a fire alarm activation on Charing Cross caused by food on the stove.
At 8:30 a.m., police took a walk-in report involving a purse stolen overnight from a vehicle on Underhill Road.
At 8:43 a.m., a burglar alarm went off on Russett Lane. An open garage door was discovered but the house was otherwise found secure.
At 11:08 a.m., an alarm went off in one of the offices at the .
At 12:30 p.m., police received a complaint about solicitors in front of the Post Office. Police spoke to them and sent them on their way.
At 3:38 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Fletcher Road. The back door of the home had been kicked in.
At 3:52 p.m., police responded to a robbery at the on Route 1. for a story on that incident.
At 5:15 p.m., police investigated a 911 hang-up call at Center Village. The resident denied having called.
At 5:29 p.m., a burglary was reported on Meservey Lane.
At 8:57 p.m., police took a report involving a 209A restraining order violation.

On Tuesday, May 10 at 1:58 a.m., a burglar alarm went off on Perkins Lane.
At 7:18 a.m., police received a report of a suspicious person and gave an apparently intoxicated individual a ride home.
At 9:07 a.m., police helped locate a juvenile who had left school.
At 6:45 p.m., a citizen reported a black pickup truck with an individual who appeared to be stealing copper from a job site near Salem and Walnut streets. Vehicle was gone on arrival.
At 9:14 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Main Street.
At 9:36 p.m., police responded to a report on Summer Street involving an intoxicated family member.

On Wednesday, May 11 at 5:30 a.m., police assisted a Ross Drive resident who had fallen.
At 8:44 a.m., a burglar alarm went off on Chestnut Street.
At 11:11 a.m., a Forest Hill Ave. resident called about an individual with a backpack who had been riding their bicycle around the neighborhood the past several days. Police were unable to locate him.
At 2:55 p.m., police covered the school crossing post at Forest Hill Ave.
At 4:51 p.m., police assisted at the after a soccer player was hit on the nose with a ball.
At 7:41 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on South Broadway.
At 9:43 p.m., a Lowell Street resident called about a suspicious vehicle in a neighboring driveway. The motorist turned out to live there.

On Thursday, May 12 at 7:31 a.m., police took a noise report involving construction work on Salem Street that had started just after 7 a.m.
At 11:21 a.m., police issued a summons to a 27-year-old Waltham resident for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense.
At 11:55 a.m., police took a walk-in report of a domestic disturbance on Summer Street.
At 12:40 p.m., an Edgemere Road resident reported debris that had been left in the road by landscapers.
At 2:58 p.m., a motor vehicle complaint was received from South Broadway.
At 3 p.m., police took a walk-in report involving a neighbor disturbance on Wheeler Street.
At 9:20 p.m., Lynn police reported the recovery of a stolen vehicle to Lynnfield.
At 11:04 p.m. A Sevinor Road resident reported a suspicious vehicle. The motorist was sent on his way.

On Friday, May 13 at 12:14 a.m., a burglar alarm went off at the .
At 1:49 a.m., another burglar alarm activation occurred at the same restaurant.
At 3:30 a.m.,, a burglar alarm activated at Bridgewell.
At 8:32 a.m., a Salem Street resident called about the way a landscaping truck was parked nearby.
At 10:19 a.m., police took a walk-in report involving larceny.
At 12:21 p.m., a suspicious auto was reported at .
At 1:01 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Drury Lane.
At 2:36 p.m., house cleaners set off a burglar alarm on Durham Drive.
At 3:18 p.m., several youths were reported near a vacant house on Bishops Lane.
At 6:17 p.m., police handled a matter involving a 209A restraining order.
At 9:30 p.m., police took a report of a group of youths drinking on the island in Reedy Meadow at a campfire.
At 10:38 p.m., a caller reported youths in a cream colored Ford causing a disturbance on Thistle Lane. Damage was found at two homes. No one was home at either at the time.

On Saturday, May 14 at 2:56 a.m. a burglar alarm went off at the .
At 8:44 a.m., a caller reported a large limb had fallen on Walnut Street.
At 9:07 a.m., an injured deer was reported on Walnut Street.
At 9:43 a.m., a realtor accidentally set off a burglar alarm on Lynnbrook Drive.
At 11:04 a.m., a caller reported illegal dumping at the construction site near the senior center.
At 1:17 p.m., police took a report of a restraining order violation but deemed it to be unfounded.
At 3:38 p.m., a hit and run accident was reported at the intersection of Salem Street and Route 1.
At 7:48 p.m., a North Broadway resident complained about loud music from a neighboring apartment.
At 10:23 p.m., a Phillips Road resident reported that neighborhood children had thrown eggs at their window.
At 11:25 p.m., a case involving malicious destruction of property was reported from New Meadow Road.

On Sunday, May 15 at 2:08 a.m., police checked a house on Main Street with an ajar side door.
At 4:13 a.m., police assisted with a disabled motor vehicle that was thought to have been in an accident.
At 1:15 p.m., police checked up on an accidental 911 dial.
At 1:41 p.m., a motorist reported a hit and run accident at the .
At 5:42 p.m., Lynnfield assisted state police after a report that a motorist who may have pointed a weapon at another vehicle in Saugus was at the Fat Cactus. Police found no weapon on the individual or in his car. The individual said he had not been involved in any road rage incidents and nothing further came of the matter.
At 5:47 p.m., police investigated a 911 hang up call.
At 6:48 p.m., a neighbor disturbance was reported on North Broadway.
At 8:11 p.m., an injured animal was reported on Grey Lane.
