Lynn Man Arrested for Not Having a License

Friday, July 29

  • At 1:24 p.m., Wakefield Police notified Lynnfield Police about an erratic driver on Salem Street. An officer pulled over the man who said he was tired and a friend picked him up to drive him home.
  • At 7:11 p.m., police received a call about several youths going inside the old Colonial Restaurant building. An officer dispersed the youths.
  • At 11:20 p.m., a motorist reported a hit and run accident in The Fat Cactus parking lot. Police took a report.

  • At 5:21 a.m., police received a call about loud music playing in the area of Lowell Street and Durham Drive. An officer spoke to a resident who turned down the music.
  • At 11:23 a.m., the U.S. Coast Guard called Lynnfield Police about a resident’s boat adrift in Marblehead Harbor. Police notified the owner.
  • At 8:20 p.m., police arrested Joel E. Bamaca, 37, 59 Jefferson St., Apt. 2, Lynn, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle without a license, a number plate violation and an out of town warrant. Bamaca was arrested during a traffic stop on Salem Street.
  • At 8:50 p.m., an Oakridge Terrace resident reported a neighbor setting off fireworks. Police spoke to the resident with the fireworks.
  • At 11:10 p.m., a Wing Road resident called police about loud music in the area. Police spoke to a resident, who turned off the music.

Sunday, July 31

  • At 11:23 a.m., police summonsed a Lynnfield driver for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Police gave the driver a summons on Broadway.
  • At 11:58 a.m., police received a call about a past burglary on Lowell Street.
  • At 5:14 p.m., police received a call from Route 1 after a female jumped out of a motor vehicle and ran into the Lynnfield Woods after an argument with her boyfriend. An officer found the female and drove her to the station.
  • At 9:58 p.m., a person walked into the station to report that while walking on Main Street a white Infiniti drove past and the people in the car yelled obscenities. An officer spoke to one of the driver’s mother and she said that she will handle the issue.
