House Fire on Edward Ave. Knocked Down

House fire on Edward Ave. was mostly limited to one room, other areas suffered heat and smoke damage.

Lynnfield Fire personnel put out a house fire on Edward Ave. Wednesday afternoon, with one section of the home sustaining significant damage.

At the scene of the fire, Captain Michael Feinberg told Lynnfield Patch that upon arrival, personnel found a working house fire with flames showing from one end of the structure. The fire was mostly confined to one room, but the rest of the house did suffer some heat and smoke damage, added Feinberg.

Lynnfield reportedly sent Engines 1, 2 and 3 to the scene, as well as Rescue 1. After the fire was out, some damage was visible from the site, primarily a knocked out picture window with some signs of fire damage around it.

“It was a quick knockdown of the fire,” said Feinberg. “A great job. We were able to keep it to a working fire.”

No injuries were reported – Nobody was apparently home at the time of the fire and no pets were in there either.
