Drinking And Dog Walking Don't Mix?

Note: Lynnfield Police log is expected to run three times a week now on Patch - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Monday, June 20 and the morning of Friday, June 24:

On Monday, June 20 at 2:05 a.m., police placed a 30-year-old Lynn man into protective custody near Donovan's Liquors.
At 7:55 a.m., there was a minor motor vehicle accident on Essex Street.
At 12:30 p.m., a Midland Road resident reported that a suspicious black Jeep was driving slowly down the street with the driver apparently checking out houses.
At 2:41 p.m., police received a report stating that a market in town had sold cigars to a Middle School student.
At 4:05 p.m., a resident reported a motorist operating erratically on Main Street. Peabody Police were notified.
At 4:34 p.m., police assisted with a disabled auto on Salem Street.
At 6:09 p.m., a Vokes Terrace resident called to inform police that his neighbor was drinking a beer while walking his dog down the street. Police found no one on the street.
At 6:20 p.m., a Canterbury Road resident reported that youths were walking toward a nearby fire road.
At 7:05 p.m., police performed traffic control at Walnut Street and Bluejay Road.
At 11:54 p.m., a burglar alarm was set off by cleaners at Bostonville Grille.

On Tuesday, June 21 at 8:58 a.m., police assisted a woman after a fall. Lynnfield's Rescue 1 transported her to Melrose/Wakefield Hospital.
At 10:30 a.m., police issued a summons to a 57-year-old Dorchester man for operating a motor vehicle with the revoked registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle that does not meet RMV safety standards.
At 10:47 p.m., a Carter Road resident reported that somebody had been ringing his grandmother's doorbell around 3 a.m. the previous night.
At 12:18 p.m., police performed a well-being check on Lowell Street.
At 12:23 p.m., a Fletcher Road resident reported cars parked along both sides of the road. One car was moved to allow traffic to move more freely.
At 12:45 p.m., a driver in a truck and trailor reportedly ran over a traffic island on Edgemere Road. From there, police issued a summons to a 34-year-old Lynn man for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. They also issued a summons to a 55-year-old Lynn man for improperly allowing someone to operate a motor vehicle.
At 1:54 p.m., a break-in was reported on Main Street.
At 2:33 p.m., a caller reported that youths in the Sovereign Bank parking lot were not allowing vehicles to pass. Police dispersed them.
At 2:35 p.m., police received a report of wires down on Carol Ann Road.
At 3 p.m., an accidental burglar alarm activation occurred on Tedford Road.
At 6:35 p.m., movers accidentally set off a burglar alarm at the Bostonville Grille building.
At 6:50 p.m., police received a report of high school students roughhousing at the Middle School.
At 8:39 p.m., police received a fireworks complaint from Newhall Park.
At 9:33 p.m., a Stillman Road resident requested extra patrols due to a large party.
At 11:04 p.m., police received a report of trespassing at the middle school.

On Wednesday, June 22 at 8:13 a.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Route 128.
At 8:56 a.m., a Bancroft Street resident reported that the operator of a black truck had dumped bags of construction debris into a Dumpster in her driveway.
At 9:05 a.m., a Bryant Street resident called to complain of a neighbor playing loud music.
At 12:03 p.m., a sign was reported to have been knocked down and lying in the road near the senior center.
At 12:28 p.m., a Spearfield Lane resident reported a suspicious individual had come to the door claiming he worked for Verizon.
At 12:41 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Main Street.
At 1:30 p.m., police received a report from Main Street residents saying their 13-year-old daughter could not be located and had left her church an hour ago. At 1:40 p.m., the individuals called back and reported that the girl had been located in the house.
At 2:50 p.m., police received a report of a domestic dispute in a vehicle near Salem and Walnut streets.
At 10:34 p.m., a caller reported a loud noise like an explosion near the high school.

On Thursday, June 23 at 12:15 p.m., police assisted with a vehicle lockout in Post Office Square.
At 5:24 p.m., a burglar alarm went off at Sovereign Bank.
At 7:45 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Edgemere Road.
At 8:41 p.m., police received a fireworks complaint from Essex Street.
At 9:30 p.m., a Richards Road resident reported an audible burglar alarm in the area.

On Friday, June 24 at 12:52 a.m., the Wilmington Police asked Lynnfield to transport an individual to Essex Street after that person took a wrong train to Wilmington.
At 5:40 a.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Stillman Road in Lynnfield.
At 8:05 a.m., police took a report of debris in the roadway.
At 8:10 a.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Stillman Road.
At 8:20 a.m., a neighbor disturbance was reported on Harley Lane.
