Couple Of Suspicious Characters Reported In Town

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Monday, Oct. 1 and Tuesday, Oct. 2.
On Monday, Oct. 1 at 8:39 a.m., police gave a verbal warning to a motorist for running a stop sign at Chestnut Street and Hart Road.
At 11:14 a.m., a Hart Road informed police that illegal hunters have been parking at the end of the street and requested extra patrols.
At 4:03 p.m., a motorist reported that a white van had struck his side mirror. The other driver claimed to be unaware that this had happened.
At 4:15 p.m., a car reportedly struck a postal truck on Pine Hill Road.
At 4:41 p.m., a suspicious auto was reported on Kimball Lane.
At 6 p.m., a citizen came in to report a larceny.
At 6:08 p.m., a motorcycle crash was reported on 128 North. The driver reportedly declined treatment.
On Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 8:33 a.m., a Chatham Way resident called to complain about a trash truck that drives backward at a high speed down the street.
At 10:08 a.m., police took a vandalism report from South Broadway.
At 2:25 p.m., a suspicious vehicle was reported on Pillings Pond Road. It was not spotted.
At 2:57 p.m., a Willowdale Drive resident reported spotted a suspicious young man in the neighborhood for the past three mornings.
At 3:40 p.m., an unwanted party was reported on Glen Drive.
At 3:47 p.m., a Walnut Street resident reported that a man had come to the door and asked for directions.
At 4:40 p.m., a possible break-in was reported on Glen Drive. It checked out OK.
