Chestnut Street 'Sinkhole' Reported Again To Police
Information provided by the Lynnfield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, Oct. 10 and Thursday, Oct. 11.
On Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 6:41 a.m., an accident with personal injury was reported on the ramp on Route 128 South.
At 8:46 a.m., a car reportedly struck a guardrail on North Broadway. It was gone on arrival.
At 10:58 a.m., police assisted with a disabled truck on Moulton Drive.
At 1:04 p.m., police took a walk-in larceny report.
At 5:02 p.m., a caller reported a sinkhole on Chestnut Street. The caller was told that DPW is aware of the situation, which is actually a crevice in the road. In the Sept. 29 edition of the Lynnfield Police Log, another caller had reported the suspected sinkhole on Chestnut Street.
At 5:39 p.m., police issued a summons to a 45 year old Lynnfield man for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
On Thursday, Oct. 11 at 8:26 a.m., a dog was reported struck by a car on Main Street. The owner took it to a nearby animal hospital.
At 8:42 a.m., police were informed that the front door of a Dunstan Road home was open and the dog was running loose. An officer and animal control got the dog back inside and secured the door.
At 10:22 a.m., an accident occurred in front of the Center Court stores.
At 11:37 a.m., a caller complained about a construction truck blocking traffic near Winchester Drive.
