Accidents Continuing In Lynnfield

Calls for service, Wednesday June 29 and Thursday June 30.

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, June 29 and Thursday, June 30:

On Wednesday June 29 at 6:48 a.m., police assisted Lynnfield fire units with a medical aid call on Salem Street.
At 7:24 a.m., a Horseshoe Drive resident reported vandalism that was done on their property.
At 8:50 a.m., a South Broadway resident reported a hit and run accident.
At 10:38 a.m., police performed a well-being check on Chatham Way after a Lifeline activation. The individual was not in distress.
At 10:54 a.m., police responded to a motorcycle accident on Route 128 South with Lynnfield Fire, State Police and Wakefield personnel. Rescue 2 brought the motorcyclist to Union Hospital.
At 11:02 a.m., a burglar alarm went off on Bishop's Lane. It was soon canceled by the alarm company.
At 11:45 a.m., Lynnfield Police assisted Peabody with traffic control for a funeral procession near S. Broadway and Salem Street.
At 12:16 p.m., a Forest Hill Avenue resident reported that a squirrel was in the house. Animal Control took care of the situation.
At 12:18 p.m., a Walnut Street resident reported that a man driving a white truck knocked at her door and offered to pave the driveway.
At 2 p.m., a citizen came into the station and asked to speak with an officer.
At 2:56 p.m., a Rockwood Road resident reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of her house. The vehicle belonged to an employee of a nearby group home.
At 6:12 p.m., police assisted a Center Village resident after a fall.
At 7:32 p.m., a Wheeler Street resident came in to report a stolen license plate.
At 8:10 p.m., an alarm was set off by cleaners at Wakefield Co-operative Bank.
At 8:45 p.m., an individual walked in to speak with police about a warrant.
At 9:25 p.m., a Patridge Lane resident reported that she had heard a loud boom in the woods behind her house.
At 10:30 p.m., a Knoll Road resident reported that several vehicles were speeding on the street. He also reported that several youths appeared to be pushing shopping carts up the hill.

On Thursday, June 30 at 2:26 a.m., police issued a summons to a 24-year-old Lynn man for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
At 9:33 a.m., a burglar alarm went off on Grove Street. The building was secure.
At 11 a.m., a Stafford Road resident reported a strange odor in the house. The Fire Department responded.
At 11:21 a.m., police and fire units responded to a two-car crash on Main Street. .
At 11:26 a.m., a burglar alarm went off on Salem Street. The building was secure.
At 12:08 p.m., an Edgemere Road resident reported a suspicious white male in a white shirt and dark pants had gone into the woods nearby. Police checked two nearby homes and found them to be secure.
At 2:01 p.m., a burglar alarm went off on Canterbury Drive. The building was secure.
At 4:32 p.m., a burglar alarm on Chestnut Street was apparently set off by a dog in the house.
At 6:53 p.m., a burglar alarm went off at Center Market, apparently due to the wrong button being pushed on the computer.
At 9:04 p.m., an Essex Street resident called with a fireworks complaint. Police found all quiet on arrival, but monitored the area that night.
At 10:37 p.m., an erratic operator was reported on Summer Street. The motorist was located and checked out fine.
At 10:43 p.m., a Longbow Road resident reported the odor of smoke in the area. It turned out to be a neighbor using his gas grill.
