$400 Lawn Statue Vandalized

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service from Friday, Jan. 27 through Sunday, Jan. 29. On Friday, Jan. 27, at 9:22 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Walnut Street. At 12:45 p.m., Lynnfield contacted Wakefield police about a well-being check in that town. At 3:19 p.m., a parent spoke with an officer about a possible assault incident. At 7:34 p.m., a disabled auto was reported on North Broadway. At 7:46 p.m., suspicious activity was reported at Center Court. An officer found two youths hanging out. At 8:15 p.m., police took a  report involving a contractor dispute. At 10:21 p.m., police went to Doncaster Circle for a well-being check. On Saturday, Jan. 28, at 12:24 a.m., a running motor vehicle was reported on Middle Road with its lights on and an open door. It was gone on arrival. At 12:07 p.m., an officer investigated an open window at a vacant Post Office Square business. At 5:55 p.m., police performed a civil standby on Huntingdon Road. At 6:50 p.m., a suspicious auto was reported on West Tapley Road. Police found the vehicle to be stolen, and determined that its steering column was damaged. The vehicle was then towed from the scene. At 6:58 p.m., a water problem was reported on Lockwood Road. At 7:27 p.m., police assisted a town resident in locating a piece of missing property. On Sunday, Jan. 29 at 2:04 a.m., Lynnfield assisted State Police with a motor vehicle accident at Exit 42 in Wakefield. At 3:24 a.m., police transported two juveniles home from around the former Colonial property and spoke to their parents. At 7:06 a.m., a Green Street resident reported that a $400 concrete lawn statue was vandalized. The arms and head were apparently removed from the statue. At 8 a.m., police responded to a family disturbance on Bishops Lane. At 11:09 a.m., police took a report of illegally parked cars at Harvey Park. At 12:33 p.m., a Summer Street resident called about a car that had been parked nearby for several days. At 4:55 p.m., a caller reported a stolen wallet, but later called back to report that it was found. At 6:31 p.m., a disabled motor vehicle was reported on Sparhawk Drive. At 8:19 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Bishops Lane. At 9:39 p.m., an Edgemere Road resident reported that somebody was yelling out in the street. No such individual was found.
