LOLCR adoptable cat of the week -THELMA

Thelma, no more rocky road

Thelma- No more rocky road - Thelma is a young girl looking to put a rocky past behind her. A fresh start is all this beauty needs. She is one lucky kitten who has survived a life of starvation, seeking food and shelter among a bunch of boulders. When she and her siblings were found in the rocks, they were scared, cold, and most of all, very hungry. It was no life for a kitten. Thankfully a kind person rescued them from their rocky home and found them a foster home with us, which provides them with the food, warmth and safety they needed. Here, Thelma is thriving. Thelma has high energy, just loves to play with the other cats and especially has a ball with the toy wand -- her favorite activity.  She often rubs up against her cat friend's sides with her tail upright, her friendly way of saying “hello there!” Thelma is only six months old and has adapted fabulously from her feral beginnings. She now can be held, as long as she feels she is safe. Her foster family uses treats and play to warm her up and she responds by coming for treats every time. Thelma has been known to be comfortable in your lap. She can be a little shy, but warms up once she settles in with you. With her muted light gray tiger markings, short fur coat and green eyes, Thelma is a looker. She likes to purr and talks a bit more and more when she wants food, or just wants to come out to play. She has displayed excellent litter box behaviors and has no health concerns.

Thelma already has learned good behaviors at her foster home. She is one smart kitten, learning that when she is picked up and brought into another room, it’s time to play. And when she is picked up again, she knows it’s time to eat and then rest. For Thelma, happiness has already showed up and we see it every day as she shows us how thankful she is to have been rescued, by her intelligence, trust, and love. Will you be her new fresh start?
