Obituary: Priscilla Hahn, 94

Mrs. Priscilla B. (Wonson) Hahn, a longtime Lynnfield resident and formerly of Gloucester, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Sunrise Assisted Living in Lynnfield on Wednesday morning, December 12, 2012, at the age of 94.

Priscilla was born on November 18, 1918, one of three children of the late Carlton W. Wonson and Ruth (Burnham) Wonson. She graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover, and Wheaton College in Norton with a degree in Retail Purchasing.

Raised on the water in Gloucester, Priscilla had a special appreciation and love for sailing. She was a longtime member of Eastern Point Yacht Club in Gloucester where her family kept a sailboat for many years. She was also an avid golfer and enjoyed her membership at Bear Hill Golf Club in Stoneham, and Thompson Country Club in North Reading. During the colder months, she cross-country skied and bowled to keep busy.

Mrs. Hahn was a longtime member of the Centre Congregational Church in Lynnfield where she was a member of The Wheel and worked at the Thrift Shop for many years. She also worked at the Lynnfield Public Library, and was a member of the Lynnfield League of Women's Voters. She loved her family, and her legacy will live on in the lives of her children and cherished grandson.

She was the beloved wife of the late Clifford H. Hahn with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Laurie A. Norton, her husband Paul, and a very special Grandmother to Nathan H. Norton of North Reading, and devoted mother of Stuart W. Hahn and his wife Donna of Elizabethtown, NY and their daughters Kelly and Angel. Dear sister of Dr. Carroll Wonson of Whitinsville and his late wife Audrey, and the late Elizabeth S. Black and her late husband Sherman. Also survived by her nieces Susan Tracy, Patricia Black-Foley, Wendy Hill, Natalie McQuade and her nephew Richard Wonson.

Relatives will honor and remember Priscilla's life with a private family service at Linwood Cemetery, Weston.
