Obituary: Peter David Dixon, 72

Peter David Dixon 72 Formerly of Lynnfield and resident of The Villages Florida passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on September 6th 2013

He was born at Melrose Hospital on February 4th 1941 the son of Edward and Elizabeth (McCullough) Dixon. Peter graduated Saugus High School class of 1958 he then attended Newman Preparatory School followed by the General Electric Apprentice Program. He was employed by G.E. in Lynn, followed by Commercial Plastics, and finally retired from Piedmont Plastics in North Carolina in December 2012.

Peter is survived by his Fiancee and companion of 13 years Kay Kelly, son Peter M Dixon and wife Sandra of Rowley, son Joseph D Dixon and wife Lyn of Dawsonville Georgia, daughter Bethany Kilroy and husband Sean of Lynnfield. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren Sophia, Jack, Megan, Josiah, Jaden, Mitchell, Aidan, Sean Jr, and Nicholas.

Visitation will be from 4-8pm Wednesday September 11th at the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave Wakefield. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday September 12th at 10:00 am at St Maria Goretti Parish 112 Chestnut St Lynnfield.

Memorial donations may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House Danvers and the Andrew L Warshaw MD Institute for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
