Mary T. “Marie” Caico 85, in Danvers formerly of Lynnfield, wife of the late Anthony J. Caico died with her family by her side on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Putnam Farm in Danvers.

Marie was born in Jamaica Plain on December 15, 1927, daughter of the late Gerald and Martha McCarthy. In 1948, she married Anthony J. Caico with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. During Anthony’s military career in the US Navy, they were stationed at numerous naval bases throughout the United States. Following his retirement, they resided in several North Shore communities.

Marie was a loving mother and wife who devoted her life to creating a home for her family. Later in life she was the proud grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 5 whom she adored. She and her late husband wintered in Florida, enjoyed vacationing with friends and family, she also enjoyed playing cards, and reading.

Marie is survived by her children: Nancy M. and her husband Alex DeBaggis of Mashpee, William J. and his wife Mary of Salem, Carol A. Sterling of Nashua, NH, Mary J. and her husband Dr. Paul Peicott of Danvers, and Deborah J. and her husband Kevin Toohey of Windham, NH; a sister, Ellie Burns of Jamaica Plain, her grandchildren, Julie Costello, Nicholas DeBaggis, Edward Jones, Nicole Allain, Christina Datoli, Michele Brown, Jennifer Peicott and Tyler Toohey; several nieces, nephews, and her dear friend and caregiver, Beth Fraher. She was predeceased by 2 sisters Eileen Loughnane and Martha McCarthy.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody.
