City Of Champions! For Girls Indoor Soccer Anyway!

Over the past week, indoor soccer seasons held at Danver's Indoor Sports as well as Beverly's Soccer Etc. have produced a number of champions out of Lynnfield Youth Soccer's program.  The winning teams from Lynnfield and their divisions are pictured and noted below.  

Congrats to the GU14 Lynnfield Galaxy team which won the Beverly Indoor Championship over the weekend.  The team had completed an indoor season where they never lost a regulation game and had a superb season.  Left to right top row:

Coach Anthony Iacoviello, Alex Iacoviello, Olivia Montanile, Sarah Bartolotta, Emory Caswell, Eliza Brooks, Jacquelyn Desautels, Claudia Oliver, and Coach Steven Connolly.  Front Row: Georgia Arnette, Madison McCormick, Christina Benvenutto, Madelyn Stringer, Caroline Connolly and Christina Montanile.  On the team but not pictured are Julia Stephens and Maddie Gibbons. 

Next, the Lynnfield Freedom GU12 girls team won the Saturday Danvers Championship league at Danvers Indoor Sports.  Tied 1-1 after regulation and OT and the girls won the shootout 1-0 on the 6th shot by Jackie Veglia.

Also congratulations to the Lynnfield Lynx, winners of the GU10 Soccer Etc indoor soccer playoffs!  The girls fought hard for their win, playing a possession style game and making great shots and passes.  They displayed great sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the season.  

And finally, congratulations to the Lynnfield Stars, winners of the Danvers Indoor Sports U12 Thursday Evening league.  Through the playoffs, the girls only allowed one goal and scored six in the 4 games played.  The finals game winner was scored with 24 seconds remaining on the clock.
