Rev. Dennis Bailey Named Lynnfield Rotary's Citizen Of The Year

Pastor of Centre Congregational Church honored for his contributions to the community, including organizing last fall's 9/11 memorial activities.

The Lynnfield Rotary named Reverend Dennis Bailey its Citizen of the Year this week. Bailey, the pastor of the , was particularly honored for his work in on Lynnfield Common.

"I've got a dream job, in a dream town," said Bailey upon receiving the award. "I'm very fortunate to have so many people who are so encouraging and supportive."

Bailey also received a proclamation in honor of his award from the state legislature, which was filed by Lynnfield's two state representatives, Brad Jones, Jr. and Donald Wong.

Heading into the evening, Bailey was unaware that he was set to receive the citizen of the year award. Otherwise, he was simply joining Selectman Dave Nelson in becoming the two newest members of the Lynnfield Rotary Club.
