Historical Society Country Store This Weekend

A full day of traditional holiday activities planned in town on Saturday.

The Lynnfield Historical Society presents its annual holiday Country Store this Saturday starting at 9 a.m. at the .

Traditional holiday greens, including wreaths, swags and Prince Pine by the yard, will be available, as will Vermont cheddar cheese cut to order, various homemade baked goods, homemade jams, and more. . Refreshments such as hot dogs, donuts and cider will also be sold.

One new addition to the annual event is Santa's North Pole Fishing Hole, sponsored by Colby Properties, giving children a chance to "fish" for prizes upstairs in the Meeting House. This begins at 10:15 a.m.

At 11 a.m., Santa arrives via fire truck and will proceed to the upper level of the Meeting House for photos with children. The historical society will also be raising funds with the help of a professional photographer who will be on hand to take pictures.

The Meeting House will stay open later this year up to and throughout the tree lighting ceremony. Pizza and other refreshments will be offered for sale to those attending the festivities.
