Adopt This Dog: Luther, A Rottweiler Puppy

Luther is all puppy and is ready to please.

My name is Luther and I am about a year old, if that. I wandered up onto someone’s porch a few weeks ago. I am big and strong, so I got away from my companion and got lost somewhere near the Stone Zoo. I was lucky to find PAWS because it is a rough world out there for lost animals. I would love to find my original family, but I am legally available for adoption now and I really, really want to settle into a new home.

If you are looking at my picture, you already know I am very, very handsome, so let’s not waste time on that. I am impatient to tell you instead how much I want to go home with you. I am very people-friendly so I already know that I like you a lot. And I am also extremely eager to please, especially if there is a treat involved. I already know how to “sit” and “wait.”  Well, I am not so good at “waiting.” I try very hard to follow that command.  For example, I cannot wait to find a new home!

After I find you and stop kissing you, the first thing I want to do is start puppy school to learn to walk on a leash so I never get lost again. Everyone says I am so nice, sweet, friendly, and smart. It is my plan to use my last attribute to get my doggie diploma with highest honors. I’ve had a good start in training, but I can hardly wait to learn the rest.

Let’s see, what else do you need to know about me? I don’t have any issues with other dogs. I sometimes go on walks with a Shepherd named Shadow who is also a PAWS dog. She is nice, but I am not interested in her one way or the other. So I could easily fit into your home if you had another dog. Or I could be your one and only.

So now you know.  I am smart, friendly, handsome, and love doggie treats. I am big and strong and eager to please. Do I appeal to you?  If so, please call.  The days are getting longer and I can’t wait to get out on long walks with you.  But please, I need you to hold on tight to my leash because I plan to be yours forever.
