Video: Local Clergy Discuss The Thanksgiving Season

This week, your local editor spoke with a number of clergy in both Lynnfield and Wakefield about gratitude and thanks this season.

Within the past week, Wakefield and Lynnfield both held interfaith Thanksgiving services, bringing people from all parts of the community together to celebrate the things they're grateful for.

With that in mind, your local editor stopped in to visit local clergy from these two towns to further ask them for their thoughts as Americans once again prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving.

In this video, Patch.com spoke with the following local clergy: Rev. Nick Morris-Kliment of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lynnfield, Father Ron Barker of St. Joseph’s Parish in Wakefield, Rev. Maddie Sifantus of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Wakefield, Pastor Brigham Lee of Calvary Christian Church,  and Rev. Glenn Mortimer of the Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church.

All shared some thoughts on what they are thankful for this year, as individuals and as local faith community leaders. Also, at the Chanukah Menorah lighting on Lynnfield Common Wednesday evening, this website spoke with Rabbi Shmaya Friedman of Chabad of the North Shore in Swampscott. Due to a technical problem, the segment with the rabbi does not appear in the video, but Friedman expressed gratitude for his family, his happiness at having been able to spend time this week putting up Menorah exhibits in the area, and also for the religious freedom that we as Americans enjoy.
