Kids' Parade, First Summer Concert Wednesday in Lynnfield

The town’s annual decorated bike and carriage parade is set for Wednesday starting at 5 p.m. – right before the first of the 2013 concerts on the common get underway.

According to an announcement from the Lynnfield Recreation Commission, registration begins at 4:30 p.m. in front of the Historical Commission house next to town hall, across from the common. The parade starts at 5 p.m. at town hall.

During the parade, the children will march around the Lynnfield Common. Afterward, there will be crafts, field games and pony rides for them. To volunteer or to get more information, contact the LRC at recreation@town.lynnfield.ma.us, or call 781-334-9488.

Also, the town’s annual concerts on the common get underway the same evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with the Continental Big Swing Band. Beyond that, concerts are scheduled for each of the remaining four Wednesdays in July, also from 6 to 8 p.m.
