Five Tips On Shopping Local This Weekend

Heading out to shop? Some planning ahead may make for an easier day.

With Christmas right around the corner, area Patch websites are trying to make readers’ lives easier with some shopping-related tips from around town and the region. Here are five things to note:

Craft Fair: Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., is holding its Sugar Plum Craft Fair, with about 30 vendors expected. Stop by and help support local artisans and businesspeople.

Art Show And Sale: Speaking of local artisans, next Saturday, Dec. 10, the Lynnfield Art Guild holds its annual December Arts and Crafts Show and Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the . Items for sale will range from paintings and photos to hand crafted items.

Christmas Tree Shop: One of the busiest shopping destinations in Lynnfield is the on Route 1. The shop has extended its hours until Dec. 23, opening from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

Wrapping Presents: Local nonprofit group Gathering Change has a great reason for people to not bother wrapping their presents right away. Just head to the North Shore Mall on Sat. Dec. 17 or Sunday, Dec. 18 and members will be wrapping presents, raising money for local food pantries, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Call 617-548-5357 for more information.
