Town To Honor Veterans In Annual Ceremony
Annual Veterans Day Observance ceremony is Monday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at Lynnfield Common.
The following was provided by the Lynnfield Veterans Service Office:
The 2013 Lynnfield Veteran’s Day Observance Ceremony will occur at 11:00 am on November 11th at the Lynnfield Common. This year’s ceremony is focused on thanking local veterans in our surroundings. The colors will be posted by Lynnfield’s own American Legion Post 131 Honor Guard. The Lynnfield Veteran Service Officer, Jason Kimball, will provide opening and closing remarks.
The Lynnfield Centre Congregational Church’s Reverend Dennis Bailey will deliver the invocation and benediction. The Lynnfield High School Brass Quintet will be playing the National Anthem and taps. The ceremony’s key note speaker will be Phil Crawford, Chairman of the Board of Selection. Light refreshments will be served in the meeting house immediately following the ceremony.
