Rotary's Turkey Trot Drew 350 Runners This Year

Lynnfiel Rotary President Jason Kimball thanks town for supporting annual fundraising event, reports that number of runners doubled since 2012.

Winter got off to an early start this year, but it didn't put a damper on the annual Lynnfield Rotary Turkey Trot, a 5K race held each November that raises thousands for local Rotary programs. Lynnfield Rotary President Jason Kimball provided this website with the following update and note to town residents thanking for them for their support:

The Lynnfield Rotary Club is pleased to announce that the 5th Annual Lynnfield Rotary 5k Turkey Trot at Market Street on November 24, 2013 was a huge success. The Club had over 350 pre-registered runners - more than twice the total runners from last year and by far our must successful Turkey Trot, despite the frigid temperatures.

Rotary Club President Jason Kimball stated that “the Rotary Club would like to thank the many sponsors who supported us and the many brave runners who weathered the freezing cold to make this the most successful Turkey Trot in our club’s history. I also would like to thank Tim Doyle who was the club’s lead coordinator of the event, his tireless efforts made this a great success. Thank you.”
