For the last three years, 17-year-old Curtis Craffey of
Lynnfield has marked Veterans Day by raising money to buy diabetic socks for
residents of the Chelsea Soldiers Home.
Craffey, a student at Bishop Fenwick in Peabody, reportedly donated 240 pairs of diabetic socks to the veterans this year. He raised money for the socks by working a booth at the Summer Street School’s annual Pumpkin Fair.
“Thank you to everyone who supported such a great cause,” he said via an email forwarded to this website.
