Lynnfield Resident, 17, Donates To Local Veterans

Lynnfield resident Curtis Craffey, 17, donated 240 pairs of diabetic socks to residents of Chelsea Soldiers Home. This is his third year doing it.

For the last three years, 17-year-old Curtis Craffey of Lynnfield has marked Veterans Day by raising money to buy diabetic socks for residents of the Chelsea Soldiers Home.

Craffey, a student at Bishop Fenwick in Peabody, reportedly donated 240 pairs of diabetic socks to the veterans this year. He raised money for the socks by working a booth at the Summer Street School’s annual Pumpkin Fair.

“Thank you to everyone who supported such a great cause,” he said via an email forwarded to this website.
