Lynnfield Christmas Ornaments Still Available

Lynnfield-themed Ornaments from Lynnfield Business Coalition help fund scholarships, job shadowing program, and more.

Some Lynnfield-themed Christmas ornaments found from a 2011 fundraiser campaign are still available for this year's holiday season.

As noted on this website back in November, 40 each of the two Lynnfield ornaments made back in 2011 were found in a box earlier this year. The ornaments from the Lynnfield Business Coalition are used to help fund LHS scholarship programs and the annual LBC job shadowing day.

The ornaments are available at Baubles Jewelry in Post Office Square.

One ornament depicts the Old Meeting House, which marks its 300th anniversary in 2014. The other one shows the bell on the Town Common, made in 1859 in Sheffield, England, purchased for $100 and transported to Lynnfield by the former Gerry Cider Mill. It was moved to the common in 1960 after hanging in the Meeting House as a fire department bell since 1919.

In a recent conversation with Lynnfield Patch, Rich Mazzola of the Lynnfield Business Coalition reported that one ornament costs $25, while people can get one of each for just $40. Only 40 of each ornament were found, and they are available at Baubles Jewelry in Post Office Square.
