Donation Provided Christmas Dinner To 40 Families

Haven From Hunger, currently in capital campaign, provides food aid for residents of Lynnfield, Peabody and Salem.

Haven From Hunger, which provides food assistance to residents of Peabody, Lynnfield and Salem, recently received a $1,000 donation from Metro Credit Union.

According to the credit union, the donation provided a full Christmas dinner to 40 area families.

“Haven From Hunger is happy to have another neighbor in the community committed to providing food for the less fortunate,” said Haven From Hunger Director Alyse Barbash.

Haven From Hunger is also in the midst of a $750,000 capital campaign to purchase its location at 71 Wallis Street in Peabody for a permanent location. To learn  more about that effort, visit the Haven From Hunger website.
