Boston Chapter of the American Sewing Guild

The Boston Chapter of the American Sewing Guild is hosting a chapter meeting at the First Baptist Church, 8 Lafayette St, Wkaefield, MA on September 28, 2013. All are welcome & the event is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring non perishable food items to donate to the church's food pantry.

There will be a brief business meeting followed by a Breast Cancer Awareness event. Chapter member, Katharine Carter, MD will speak about cuurent news in breast health. "Pauline the Bra Lady" will be doing bra fittings during the meeting in a completely private setting for those that wish to participate. Most women are wearing the wrong size bra. Pauline will guide each woman to the correct size.

The chapter is currently working with Toys For Tots, Twirls For Girls charity in making clothes for the 18 inch dolls available at Michael's & AC Moore. Those that bring a doll to donate will receive $5 off of a purchased bra. Please visit billericatwirls.com for more information on how you can help.

Before we adjourn, there will be a fun "Sew & Tell" where members who decorated a bra in celebration of Breast Cnacer Awareness month will get to show thier bras off. Should be a great time! Hope to see you there!
