Winter Storm Warning In Effect Until 1 p.m.

Anticipated winter storm gave North Shore little more than a dusting as of late Monday night. National Weather Service has winter storm warning in place until early Tuesday afternoon.

Despite excited news Monday night news forecasts that had the North Shore getting up to six inches of snow, the region got little more than a dusting before sunrise.

Still, the National Weather Service has a Winter Storm Warning in place for the local area until 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

The local forecast from the NWS has little more than an inch of additional accumulation in the forecast if it does start snowing again on Tuesday morning. Otherwise, the forecast for the rest of Tuesday calls for mostly cloudy skies with wind chills that could stay well below zero into Wednesday.

While this region received little snow into Tuesday morning, the NWS also has a 40% chance of snow locally for Friday.
