Townscape: It's Time to Order Your Geraniums!

Help Townscape keep Lynnfield beautiful. Geranium sales continue this spring, even though the name of next month's "Geraniumfest" has changed.

The following was provided by Townscape:

Townscape is a local, non-profit organization whose mission is to plant trees in Lynnfield. We raise the funds to pay for trees by selling high quality, locally grown, hardy geraniums at a generous discount. They can be picked up on the Common at Lynnfield Day, Saturday May 18 from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Take advantage of our early pick up time.

If you did not receive our NEW pre-order form in your mailbox, look for the pink insert in next week’s paper, at the library or Town Hall. The discounted geranium pre-order forms need to be returned by Monday, May 6 & will assure your color preference. For more information or additional order forms go to TownscapeLynnfield.webs.com.

For the past 25 years, Townscape has hosted GeraniumFest, Lynnfield’s celebration of spring. This year, for the first time, the Recreation Commission has taken over responsibility of this event, renaming it Lynnfield Day. Many of your favorite aspects of GeraniumFest still remain; the flower sales, Lynnfield Public Library’s Used Book Sale, Lynnfield’s Art Guild exhibit in the Centre Congregational Church, crafters, children’s games, food, as well as many more, new & exciting additions.

For information regarding Lynnfield Day contact Julie Mallett of the Recreation Commission at 781-334-9488 or Recreation@Town.Lynnfield.MA.US. Townscape’s mission remains the same; to plant trees in Lynnfield. Lend your support and purchase geraniums.
