Town Meeting Tonight: Town meeting resumes tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the . Before that, there is a school committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School Media Center.

Boys and Girls Basketball Clinic: There will be a boys and girls basketball clinic on Thursday, May 12 at . A session for the boys will run from 6-7 p.m. and a session for the girls is from 7-8 p.m. The clinic is $5 and is for grades 3-8. It is conducted by Sarah Behn, the coach of the UMass Lowell Women's Basketball team.

Pioneer Sports Today: At 3:30 p.m., the boys varsity tennis team is at Amesbury High School, while the girls varsity players take on that opponent at home. At 3:45 the girls varsity lacrosse team is at Hamilton-Wenham, with a junior varsity meet there at 5:30. Also, at 4 p.m., the junior varsity softball team is at Wilmington while the varsity teams play at 6 p.m.

Lynnfield Idol: One week from today, the Lynnfield Idol competition resumes. On Monday, May 9 at 7 p.m. in the LHS auditorium, local singers will be competing for the right to move on to the May 24 final. Admission is $5.

Arbor Day Celebration: This weekend is the town's annual Arbor Day celebration. The celebration starts Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m. on the town common. The event will feature awards to the winners of the Amazing Trees of Lynnfield contest as well as an announcement about Lynnfield's Tree City USA status.
