Plant Sale, Sing and Sway on the Events Calendar

Today is Monday, May 13th. Here are five things worth knowing today.

Sing and Sway: Tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. at the Lynnfield Library, there’s a “Sing and Sway” for kids aged 2 to 6 featuring some preschool rhythm and dance activities. No registration required.

Plant Sale: Lynnfield Home and Garden Club has a plant sale scheduled for 7:30 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Old Meeting House.

Home, Health and Garden Show: Looking ahead to next Sunday, May 19th, there.s a Home, Health and Garden show at the Americal Civic Center at 467 Main Street in downtown Wakefield. Local businesses and nonprofits will be on hand. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Homeless Vets Fundraiser: Jim Cotter of Wakefield Cares, Inc. is organizing an Italian buffet/comedy fundraising night for homeless veterans on Friday, May 17 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at the Mattola VFW Post, 84 Temple Street, Revere. Tickets are $25 each, or $250 for a table of ten. Call Jim at 781-850-6478 for tickets or more information. 

Bowl-A-Thon: There’s still time to get involved with the upcoming Bowl-a-Thon to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Stoneham and Wakefield. The event is Sunday, May 19th at the Wakefield Bowladrome and teams of up to 4 can participate. Click here to learn more.
