PHOTOS: Blue Herons Drop In

A couple of weeks ago on a drive through Lynnfield, I was out taking some photos and spotted a blue heron in the small pond behind the Colonial property. Several minutes later, a second heron showed up in the area in front of the .

One shot was lucky enough to actually catch a heron in the act of eating a fish. Overall, the year has been fairly generous for outdoor photography in Lynnfield, with numerous deer sightings, some up-close hawk pictures and a couple of other things.

Wonderful pictures, William! We always take drives in that area to watch the herons and became concerned the last couple years because we did not see any...guess we just picked the wrong times! Thank you for sharing all your neat pictures with us. I enjoy them a lot.

Thanks Nikki, I always have my camera with me when I'm working, and it pays off in the form of shots like these from time to time.
