PHOTO: Raptors Along Route 1

Got a photo shot in Lynnfield you'd like to share? Email it to william.laforme@patch.com.

Last week, I was finally able to get a decent shot of one of the hawks that can frequently be spotted in the sky over Lynnfield, especially around the Bow Ridge Reservation and power lines along Route 1.

While heading in for a batch of outdoor photos last week, I even came across a couple of huge feathers that I thought belonged to one of these impressive birds. Unfortunately, they turned out to belong to a turkey instead.

The hawks are usually far too high in the air to allow a decent photo, but with considerable help from the telephoto lens and the photo-cropping tool, this image was eventually able to emerge.
