The last couple of winters have been tough from a photography perspective. The New England landscape just calls out for some snow this time of year.
But with no snow on the horizon, I'm reminded of one of the earliest outdoor photo galleries to run on this website, from that (briefly) epic winter of 2010-2011. With temperatures expected to rise into the 40s in the coming days, I'm not sure when I'll get to throw the term "Terra Arctica" around again like that.
This particular image for today was shot from the boardwalk of Reedy Meadow last week and was not included in a similar gallery that ran at the time. Just for the heck of it, I threw in a second one as well. If and when we get a little more snow this winter, the next stop will be the Bow Ridge Reservation.
