Mexican

On Route 1, the offers a full-range of Mexican favorites such as enchiladas, burritos, and quesadillas. Seafood items include blackened catfish fajitas and pinchos camarones – shrimp on a skewer in a lime/agave glaze. Other options at the Fat Cactus include steaks, burgers and salads.

The Fat Cactus also features live music most nights of the week and has a large bar area complete with margaritas, a large selection of beers, and a wide variety of high-end tequilas.

There are also two Chinese restaurants in town. is a longtime local landmark for motorists driving by on Route 128. The restaurant features a bar area and a full range of popular Chinese and other types of dishes.

Finally, on Salem Street, right near the Wakefield line, is a smaller but popular option that has been recognized for the quality of both its takeout and its food in general. The restaurant features moderately-priced all day specials as well as vegetarian dishes and healthier menu options such as steamed chicken or shrimp. Other options on the ample menu include a pu-pu platter for one, kung pao three delights, moo shi dishes, and Peking noodles.
