Noirot is a Beautiful Black Cat with a Magical Purr

Noirot, A Black Beauty with a Magical Purr

Noirot, a Black Beauty with a Rumbling Purr

My name is Noirot and I am a purr machine.  Nothing makes me happier than a long petting session and a good, loud rumble in my throat.  When I see my foster person, I give her a cute meow or two and then, even before she moves in to pet me, I start to purr up a storm. I can sit forever when I am being stroked and groomed.  My medium-length fur is now glossy and sleek from all that care—and wait until you see my amazing, bushy tail.  I will even let you touch my paws. Yes, you heard that right, touch my paws! For those of you who know cats well, you know that a cat who lets you do that must be a very gentle, sweet feline.  Need I say more?  I am purrfect!

With the days getting colder and darker, I must admit I am happy to be inside and no longer on my own.  I was hanging out in the yard of a PAWS volunteer who started giving me food and then took me in.  As a former stray, I am a bit on the reserved side when I first meet someone.  But with the proper introduction and patience, I warm up very quickly.  If you adopt me, I will be following you around in no time, hoping you will play me.  At two years old, I am still quite playful, yet I have the settled nature of an adult cat.

Among my favorite things about the indoors is the food, the soft beds and the cool toys.  Oh my, the food here is amazing!  I love wet food and treats. And, I am so spoiled by the soft, cozy beds that I sneak onto the humans’ bed when they are not around.  Then, there are all the toys!  I like to chase the ball in the turbo scratcher and those cat nip mice are much better than the real thing.  What can I say?  Life is good.  Life is perfect….well, almost.

The only thing I lack is a home of my own.  My foster family is very kind, but I can’t stay here forever.  So I want you to come meet me.  And do not worry if you already have a cat or two because I like other cats.  I am so gentle and gentlemanly that, even if they hiss at me or growl the first time we meet, I will just smile back and wait for them to come around to liking me.  I am also curious about dogs and I am certain, if you had a respectful one, I could get along with him or her as well.  Or, I could be your one and only.  Like many rescued cats, I am not at all fussy.  I will love you forever just because you have found a place in your heart and home for me.  So what are you waiting for?  Call PAWS now and ask to meet me.  I am already purring in anticipation.
