Lynnfield May See 4-6 Inches of Snow by Morning Commute

Snow is expected to blanket the area, Monday afternoon or evening and last through the night, accumulating 4-6 inches by Tuesday morning.

A snow storm may be headed for Lynnfield Monday afternoon and leave up to 6 inches of heavy snow in its wake before tomorrow's morning commute.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch, forecasting 4-6 inches of snow as temperatures drop to the low 20s with 15-25 mph winds and gusts up to 40 mph.

"There is still some uncertainty on the amounts, which will depend on the exact track of the [storm]," says the Weather Service.

If the storm does blanket the Lynnfield area, snow is expected to arrive late this afternoon or early evening and continue through the night.

Lynnfield may see snow showers for the afternoon, but 4-6 inches of snow tonight.

Snowfall may become heavy at times and should taper off tomorrow morning. Visibility on the roads may be down to a half mile at times.

"Untreated roads will become snow covered and slippery tonight. The Tuesday morning rush hour may be impacted," says the Weather Service.

Is there any way of canceling this snow storm. Where can I walk my dog? Where will he mess? What will happen if my plastic poop bags get blown away? How will I maneuver my dog in the snow? My dog wont like this. What should I tell him? He will be very upset with me when he finds out. Advice please, people.
