Little League Parade: The Lynnfield Little League kicks off its season on Sunday, May 1 from 12-3 p.m. with its annual opening day parade. The route runs from Nottingham Road to Newhall Park's Front Field. Individuals can park at Newhall Park or Bali Hai. This year's parade host will be Bob Montgomery, former Red Sox catcher and broadcaster.

Lymphomathon Is Sunday: Also on Sunday, May 1, neighboring Wakefield is hosting the Lymphomathon around Lake Quannapowitt, which was . Registration is at 9 a.m. and the walk is at 10 a.m. To make a donation or get involved, click here.

Prescription Drug Disposal: Individuals who would like to safely get rid of their old prescription drugs can bring them to the Lynnfield Police Station on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The effort is being undertaken as part of the federal government's National Take Back Initiative.

Yard Sale for DI Trip: A huge yard sale is planned Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the Lynnfield Town Common. Proceeds will help defray the travel costs of several teams of Lynnfield's Destination Imagination students, who will be participating in the world championships in Knoxville in late May.

Friday Pioneer Sports: At 3:45 p.m., the varsity and junior varsity softball teams have home games against Masconomet. At 3:30 p.m., the boys varsity tennis team is at Austin Prep. At 4 p.m., the varsity lacrosse team has a road game at Wilmington High School, while the junior varsity team plays there at 5:30 p.m.
