LMS Students Collect More Than 1,000 Pounds Of Food

Today is Friday, April 1. Here are five things you need to know:

Congratulations to students at the who raised more than 1,000 pounds of canned and boxed goods in March during their third annual "Food For Everyone" campaign. Students worked with local nonprofit Gathering Change to send their donations to Haven From Hunger food pantry.

Looking ahead to next week, the town's finance committee meets Monday at 7 p.m. at town hall while on Tuesday, the school committee meets at 7 p.m. in the high school media center.

For LHS Pioneer sports, the boys varsity baseball team is at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School Saturday for a couple of scrimmages, with another one Monday at home against Reading at 3:45 p.m.

On Saturday, April 2 from 8:30 a.m. – noon, there is a breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the . The Priestlys will be on hand taking photos for a $10 donation. Appointments can be scheduled at 781-334-0001.

Speaking of the Congregational Church, on Thursday, April 7 at 7 p.m. they are hosting a benefit concert for Heifer International featuring local a cappella group Overboard. Tickets are $10 while admission for those under age 10 is free. All proceeds benefit Heifer International, which helps those in need around the world by providing them with livestock and agricultural training.
