Items Sought For Upcoming Used Book Sale

Donations of books, music CDs, DVDs sought for annual Used Book Sale in October.

The following is an announcement from the Friends of the Lynnfield Library:

The Friends of the Lynnfield Library are actively seeking donations of gently used books, music CDs, and DVDs in preparation for the popular annual Used Book Sale in October.  To assist residents who would like to donate materials, the Friends offer a home pick-up service.  If you have paperbacks, hardcover books, music CDs, or DVDs to donate, simply call Friends’ Board Member Alexis Gilbode at 781-608-4179 to arrange a time for a Friends' volunteer to pick up your donations at home and provide you with a receipt.  Otherwise, please leave boxed or bagged donations at the circulation desk or in the Library foyer. Small and large adult paperbacks, DVDs, music CDs, and hardcover or paperback children’s and young adult books are needed.

“Because people have so many options about where to donate,” said Nancy Ryan, Director of Lynnfield Library, “we strive to make the donation process as convenient as possible. The fall Book Sale has been our primary fundraiser for many years and we hope to continue the tradition." Items that go unsold will be offered to benefit other local community organizations.
