Get Out and See Some Larger Than Life Sand Sculptures This Weekend

Or maybe head to a farmers market, or a Special Olympics fundraiser?

Another weekend is fast approaching, and you're wondering what's going on in and around Lynnfield.

You could see some cool sand sculptures, head over to a farmers market for some fresh produce, or support the Special Olympics.

1. Revere Beach Sand Sculpting Festival July 15 - 17

Where/When: Revere Beach, Revere, MA. Fri., Sat., Sun., 10:00am - 10:00pm.

Why Go: This festival is one of the largest sand sculpting contests in the country! The event Is attended by over 300,000 people each year and is capped of with a concert and fireworks display over Revere Bay. Also, enjoy live entertainment and activities for kids throughout the weekend, and be in awe of the 20-foot tall, 40-foot wide sand castles.

Where/When: North Ave & Church St, Wakefield, MA 01880 (Hall Park, next to Veterans Field), Saturday, 9:00am–1:00pm. 

Why Go: Don't miss out on this Farmers Market offering freshly picked vegetables and fruits, grass-fed beef, eggs, locally produced pasta, sauses, baked goods, and wine, and different crafters/artisians throughout the season.

Where/When: 395 Main St, Stoneham, MA, Fri. at 8:00pm. Sat. (4:00 pm, 8:00 pm), Sun. (2:00 pm)

Why Go: The best-selling musical in Stoneham Theatre history is back! Sisters of Swing tells the amazing story of The Andrews Sisters - LaVerne, Maxene, and Patty. This musical tour of their lives, careers, and relationships includes "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Apple Blossom Time," and countless other hits that lifted the morale of many a WWII GI.

Pricing: $44-$48 regular admission; senior discounts apply; all student tickets $20. Wed. matinee is $30.

When/Where: 1 Pierce Memorial Dr, Saugus, MA 01906 (Saugus High School Athletic Field), Fri., Sat., and Sun., 6:00pm–10:00pm.

Why Go: Head over to the carnival activities and festivities provided by Fiesta Show. All funds raised go to support the Saugus Special needs students as well as Special Olympics athletes throughout the year. Local bands will be featured on Friday & Saturday night.

Why Go: Grab some friends and check out some live music this weekend at the Fat Cactus.
