Get Out and Go Green This Weekend

Upcoming weekend event in and around Lynnfield.

As another weekend is upon us, you're wondering what's going on in and around the town you call home.

Well, you have the chance to go green this weekend by recylcing your unused electronic devices or by buying some plants in support of a good cause. You can also walk the lake in support of our four-legged friends, or round up the ladies and enjoy a girl's night out at Golf Town.

1.

When/Where: , (127 Summer St), Saturday, 8:00am-2:00pm.

Why Go: What better way to get rid of your old unused electronic devices than doing something good for the planet and recycling them? Not only will you be benefitting the earth, but proceeds will help 19 members of the Lynnfield Destination Imagination state champions attend the global competition in Tennessee this May.

Pricing: Computer Monitor, CPU, Laptop: $15.00, Television: $20.00 to $25.00, Air Conditioner: $15.00, Stove/Washer/Dryer/Refrigerator: $20.00, Cell Phones: $5.00, Small Miscellaneous Items: $10.00 each.

When/Where: , (99 Lake St, Wakefield), Sunday, 1:00pm.

Why Go: Take part in PAW's fourth annual walk and an afternoon of tail waggin', treats and belly rubs. Show your support for PAW's mission to help our furry friends and their human companions. The money raised will be directly distributed to veterinary hospitals for the pet owners and families that cannot afford veterinary treatment for their dog or cat without our help. 

Pricing: $25.00 pre-registration online or by mail, $30.00 on the day of the walk.

When/Where:  (front lawn), Saturday, 9:00am–1:00pm.

Why Go: You won't want to miss this plant and bake sale sponsored by . The club will provide a wide selection of colorful premium nursery-stock geraniums and other annuals, herbs, vegetables; and plants from club members' gardens for purchase. Master gardeners will also be on hand to answer questions and offer advice. Delicious homemade baked goods will also be for sale. Proceeds from this popular event help support the Reading Garden Club's projects in Reading.

Pricing: Free to attend, baked goods and plants for purchase.

4. 

When/Where: , (395 Main St, Stoneham), Saturday, 2:00-3:30pm.

Why Go: Don't miss your chance to join a tap dance workshops held for two different levels of experience: beginner and beyond-beginner.  Each of the workshops will be led by 42nd Street cast members and/or the choreographer.  

Pricing: $25 per person (includes tickets to the 4 pm matinee).

When/Where: Golf Town, (40 Walkers Brook Dr, Reading), Sunday 6:00pm–8:00pm.

Why Go: If you're a woman golf-fanatic, you should bring their friends to Golf Town on Sunday night, as the store will be closed to everyone but you and your friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm! Meet golf experts, try new equipment, enter to win fantastic prizes and take advantage of incredible discounts at the Reading store location.
