Today is Monday, Feb. 6. Here are five things you need to know.

Library Museum Passes: Many readers may be aware of the major renovation project recently completed by the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, which boats an impressive collection of artwork, relics, sculpture and more from around the world. Lynnfielders can now go and check out the museum with discount passes provided by the Friends of the Lynnfield Library. With the passes, as many as four individuals can enter the museum for $5 each.

Calling all Chocolate Lovers – Sunrise of Lynnfield will be at the Lynnfield Senior Center on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 12:30 p.m. to demonstrate how to make chocolate truffles and other goodies with samples for all. There is no charge but sign-up is required at the front desk. Lunch at 11:30 a.m. for $2. Sign up for lunch by noon the day before.

Sports Equipment Swap: Junior Girl Scout Troop 60186 has scheduled a community sport swap for Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Centre Congregational Church. Drop off unwanted, gently used sports equipment or trade or purchased some other items. Girl Scout cookies will also be for sale. Those who would like to donate items, ranging from hiking boots to tennis racquets to baseball and hockey gear and other items in between, can email the troop leaders at ellenpfriedman@verizon.net or erinomadden@gmail.com

Photographer Demonstration: The next Lynnfield Art Guild presentation is on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Lynnfield Senior Center. This month’s guest is photographer Barbara Rozavsky, who is a past president of the Greater Lynn Photographic Association. For more information, call 781-334-6765.

Kindergarten Parents Orientation: Lynnfield parents of all incoming kindergarten students for fall 2012 are invited to attend an Orientation Night on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 7 p.m. at .
