Five Things You Need To Know Today: September 28

Farmers markets continuing through this fall at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Today is Wednesday, September 28. Here are five things you need to know:

Fundraiser At Prince: The LHS Cheerleaders are raising funds this Wednesday, September 28 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Prince Pizzeria will donate 25 percent of food purchases. There will also be raffle items in the Giggles comedy club room.

Farmers Market: The farmers market is still held on Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of St. Paul's Episcopal Church until later this fall.

Small Business Forum: State Senator Katherine Clark hosts a morning small business forum today that focuses on state financing programs. Joining her will be state reps. Paul Brodeur and Donald Wong. The forum is from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Americal Civic Center, 467 Main Street, Wakefield.

Town Business: There is an assessor's meeting tonight at 5 p.m. at the assessor's office at town hall. At 7:30 p.m., the planning board in the selectmen's room at town hall.

LHS Sports: The boys varsity golf team is away with a 3:30 p.m. match against North Andover. Girls volleyball has a varsity game at Pope John XXIII at 4 p.m., while the junior varsity teams play there at 5:30 p.m.
