School board, finance committee meetings on the agenda.

Today is Monday, February 28. Here are five things you need to know:

Budget Season Continues: The Finance Committee is meeting Monday night at 7 p.m. at Town Hall in the Selectmen's Room.

School Committee Meeting: At 6:30 p.m., the school committee meets in the Lynnfield High School media center. The committee is expected to interview interim special services director Kara Mauro.

In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb: The National Weather Service has enacted a winter weather advisory for the region through 11 a.m., citing the danger of freezing rain impacting traffic. The NWS forecast adds that by mid-day Monday, freezing rain will be replaced by regular rain.

Blood Drive: Those who would like to donate blood to Children's Hospital and the Jimmy Fund Clinic can do so on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. at the West Side Social Club, 4 Harrington Court in Wakefield.
