Five Things You Need To Know: September 21

Special Education Parents Advisory Council meets tonight at 7 p.m., chili cookoff at Sunrise of Lynnfield starts at 3 p.m.

Today is Wednesday, September 21st. Here are five things you need to know:

SEPAC Meeting: Tonight, the Lynnfield Special Education Parents Advisor Council meets at the Lynnfield Preschool from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Dr. Thomas Jefferson, superintendent of Lynnfield schools, is expected to attend. For more information, call the Special Services Office at 781-581-5140.

Chili Cookoff:  This Wednesday, Sept. 21, a chili cookoff is planned at Sunrise of Lynnfield on Salem Street at 3 p.m. $5 to enter or to taste the chili. All proceeds benefit the Alzheimers Association's Walk to End Alzheimers. Call 781-245-0668 to enter.

Lego Night: Tonight from 6 to 7 p.m., the Lynnfield Library is holding Lego Night. Children ages 6 and up are invited to come and create Lego projects and to meet new people.

Memorial 5K: The 8th annual OD's Memorial Run/Walk, in memory of Johnny O'Donnell of Lynnfield, is on Sunday, September 25 starting at 10 a.m., with an 8:30 a.m. registration. Click here for more information.

Small Business Forum: Next Wednesday, September 28 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Americal Civil Center on 467 Main Street, State Senator Katherine Clark will host a small business forum with the Wakefield Chamber of Commerce. State representatives Paul Brodeur (D-Melrose) and Donald Wong (R-Saugus) are also expected to attend.
